Spiral Staircase Installation
Vinewoods Forge - Kennett Square, PA
Sapsis Rigging was brought in to move and place a two story, one ton, custom spiral staircase created by Rob Sigafoos of the Vinewoods Forge Studio. The project required the unit to be crane-lifted from the yard where it had been constructed, laid into a cradle, rolled into the building and then tipped into the hole in the floor. Three teams - SRI, the crane company, and the general contractor - worked together seamlessly to maneuver a beautiful, but awkward piece through very tight tolerances (and around Marvin the Dog) into its new home. photos by Sarah Gowan for Sapsis Rigging, Inc.
